When I was clearing out my aunt’s attic, I honestly did not know what to expect. She lived a rather unique lifestyle, so it was exciting even though it was sad at the same time. She had talked to my brother and me about going through her things, and she ordered us to do it with happy faces. She also told us that we might want to find a company that can transcribe audio to text, but she refused to say anything more on it. We both knew better than to push her for more information, so we just enjoyed the time we had left with her.

We decided to get started on her attic a few weeks after her funeral. Though it was sad like I said, we were both curious as to why she told us we should find a transcription service. It did not take long for us to find out why. We discovered several shoe boxes, and each one had at least three or four audio tapes in it. We listened to the first one in the attic, and we were awestruck listening to our aunt interview different people such as our own folks as well as a former president of the United States!

We knew our aunt got around in some pretty tight circles, but these tapes were nothing short of amazing. I had already found a service that excels in transcribing audio to text, and I was confident that they would be able to get all of the tapes done in a short amount of time. I had no idea what we were going to do with them, but getting them into text form was the first order of business. The company we hired was able to deliver all of the text files to us quicker than we expected, and now we just have to figure out what to do with them!
